West Coast Chess Alliance

The West Coast Chess Alliance is a community based chess advocacy group dedicated to bring “Chess Awareness” to under represented groups and neighborhoods.

The WCCA’s mission is to advocate, promote and support scholastic chess activities for youth living in at risk communities. The game of Chess empowers young minds, enhances critical thinking and problem solving skills, and emphasizes the importance of “thinking” before you make a Move.

Our motto is “Academic Excellence through Chess.”
